A Unique and Unexpected Banking Experience

  • Housing two lease spaces as well as their latest branch, SMA Architects and Jackson Contractors Group teamed up to activate a prominant corner on Last Chance Gulch for Farmers State Bank.

  • This 12,000 square foot complex was designed around a central glass atrium hosting a bright public gathering space opening to a patio and all three tenant spaces through a series of overhead doors. Inspired by steampunk culture, the parts and pieces of the building come to the forefront to highlight the story of the construction and add a whimsical element to the entire project.

  • A two-story brick lobby sets the stage for the bank’s main customer interaction space featuring a large antique vault and two totally steampunk custom teller pods -- making a statement in the center of the room. The material selection was paramount in creating the full experience of the owners’ goals for a unique and unexpected banking experience.

The Railyard: Banking + Beer + Coffee

  • The site features two outdoor gathering spaces. To the west, a food truck pavilion flanks the main entry with plenty of space on the raised patio to accommodate the truck de jour.

  • The second patio is located just off the central glass atrium sandwiched between the dram shop and a coffee shop located in the other lease space making it a hot spot for social collision at all hours of operations.

  • With all the outdoor amentities, dramatic and unexpected interior experiences, and variety of functions, this banking experience is truely unlike any other.
