Bringing Light to an Under-Utilized Space
Lewis and Clark Public Health, with multiple locations in town, worked with SMA to renovate an unused basement space in the Murray Building.
Their primary goal was to create office and collaborative spaces that did not have the typical feel of a basement, but rather be open, airy, bright, and encourage wellness and collaborative activities.
Transparency + Connection
The floorplan was designed to have transparency and connection through to the new exterior windows from the entry and reception area.
New office designs included connective glazing to open the space and allow light in. Collaborative break out spaces include flexible furniture to encourage conversations and communication.
