Designed for Wellness
The project set out with seven core values for the project that were identified through the visioning process: Wellness, Flexibility, Value, Performance, Authenticity, Communication, and Fun.
The goal of incorporating wellness into the design guided SMA towards making the stairs prominent to encourage use, adding a welcoming on-site workout room, and ensuring the spaces had plenty of natural light.
Connection + Collaboration
The open office workspace, collaborative areas, and integration of technology allow flexibility as BlueCross BlueShield’s needs evolve in the future and contribute to an overall active and fun working environment.
SMA also worked closely with BlueCross BlueShield of Montana to develop branding and graphics that are integrated into the building’s interior.
Intended to promote BCBS of Montana’s identity, the package included a historical timeline, Governor’s Cup wall, People and Places of Montana, and branding for the fitness area as well as Café 406.
