This past week, the Montana Young Professionals from many corners of the state met in Butte for their annual conference to learn leadership, career growth, share ideas, network, business practices and get inspired. Hosted by the Butte Young Professionals, the Butte Local Development Corporations, Headwaters RC&D and the City-County of Butte-Silver Bow, this is the third annual summit for Montana Young Professionals.
At the Thursday, June 21 dinner, statewide awards were presented in several categories. The 2018 Young Professional Community Leader Award was presented to Helena’s Jason Davis, owner/partner and President of SMA Architects.
Davis has always believed in giving back to the community and has an impressive list of areas he has served. He completed several terms as chair of the city of Helena Board of Adjustment, one term appointed by Governor Bullock as commissioner for the Montana Heritage Commission, former member of the Tri-County Area Special Olympics Management Team, former member of the Original Governor’s Mansion Restoration Board, current member of the MSU School of Architecture Advisory Council and current chairman of the Helena Area Chamber of Commerce.
Jason has a master’s degree from Montana State University and is married to his wife, Noelle, a Helena native who is also an architect.
