The University of Montana Campus Dining celebrates the grand opening of The Lodge Dining Center!

8.26.24

This last Thursday, we had the pleasure of joining the University of Montana in celebrating the grand opening of The Lodge Dining Center. This event marked the beginning of an exciting new school year as well as the culmination of a truly memorable project for our team.

This Dining Center resulted from planning efforts during the Student Life Master Plan to optimize the UM student experience. With ample daylight and second-story decks, it is designed to optimize views of the Griz Statue and the M. The space has a floor-to-ceiling fireplace and outdoor seating opening to the Oval and iconic Ryman Walk. The Lodge Dining Center is also designed to mimic the confluence of Montana's rivers with eddies and flows to move visitors through different dining and seating options. Some of these dining options include wood-fired pizza, Asian, burgers, and a salad bar -- while also highlighting locally grown ingredients and chef-made items on display.

The Lodge Dining Center is not just a dining hall, but a vibrant new hub designed to enhance the campus experience for students, faculty, and the UM community. We are incredibly proud of the design and effort that went into creating this facility. We want to extend a special thank you to the University of Montana and our consultants: NAC, baker Group, WGM, DCI, ACE, and Swank for helping us make this project into a space that will be a focal point for socializing, dining, and community building.
