A Safe Space

  • Designed by SMA in 1988, this group home accommodates seven teens in the Helena area.


  • Through the PAR process, SMA worked with Youth Homes on a renovation concept to add capacity and modernize the facility, increasing accessibility and home-like feeling in the process.

Backyard Possibilities

  • The PAR studies the potential for new gardens, play structures, swings, and updated a basketball court.


  • These amenities add therapeutic spaces for positive staff and teen interactions and a privacy fence is also planned to encourage kids to use this space more often.
