BIO

As one of the firm’s managing partners and principal architects, Jason takes great pride in ensuring the firm’s quality of work is unmatched. His career is highlighted by large commercial, military, mixed-use, student housing, behavioral health, medical, feasibility studies, and corporate branding.

Jason's firm leadership has always been rooted in listening to SMA's clients and responding with design solutions that focus on client's needs rather than the firm's needs. The client's goals and aspirations are the guiding principles of all designs and serve as a benchmark for project success. Jason has always been passionate about cultivating a firm culture that the most valuable resource - the SMA team. He strongly believes a great firm culture is felt by clients, resulting in a fun and enjoyable process for all.

Jason grew up hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and that passion continues today. When he's not in the office, he is likely enjoying Montana's outdoors. Having grown up in a family of private pilots, Jason has always been fascinated by airplanes and aeronautics and he has turned that fascination into a private pilot license and a very exciting hobby of flying.
