Soren comes from a residential design-build background, with more than seven years spent in the Helena construction world. This translates into architecture as a strong foundation for understanding a project holistically, not simply through the lens of design. As a licensed Architect, his responsibilities at SMA include architect and manager roles for a myriad of project types and sizes. Custom residential and renovation, commercial offices, multi-family apartments and condominiums, as well as mixed-use projects form the bulk of Soren's work to date. However, continuing to learn - expanding that experience and purview - is an integral part of the practice of architecture and one that he idealizes. Outside of architecture, though never apart from it, Soren delves into the pursuit of guitar perfection, remedial philosophical understandings, intermittent habitation of the wilderness, voracious consumption of literature, building an exceptional family, and the attainment of balance.
