A Team Effort
Faced with a hospital that was severely antiquated, the Ruby Valley communities worked with the SMA team for over nine years to fundraise and plan the new Ruby Valley Medical Center.
The new hospital and out-patient clinic provides modern medical spaces and technology supporting the talented and caring healthcare providers to deliver the highest quality care to the valley's residents.
Due to the rural nature of the Ruby Valley, the hospital is a critical centerpiece of the valley, providing care quickly to the great people of the Ruby Valley.
Critical Care for Rural Communities
While fiscal responsibility was a top priority for the community, the Critical Access Hospital offers a wide range of medical services from acute and trauma care to clinical care.
Opened in the fall of 2018, RVMC is outfitted with an Emergency Room, including three trauma rooms, in-patient rooms, a radiology suite, CT scanners, exam rooms, physical therapy spaces and tele-health services.
Providing Necessary Healthcare
Not just a critical access hospital, the building is divided with the hospital on the east side and an out-patient medical clinic on the west. The out-patient clinic serves the communities with primary care and preventative care medical services.
Designed to take advantage of the incredible views surrounding the medical center in the heart of the Ruby Valley. The exterior design and building materials were carefully selected as a nod to the agricultural and ranching communities that surround it. The community was very passionate that this hospital 'fit-in' with the Ruby Valley!
