Ali sees the importance in finding solutions to best serve her clients. She views the built environment as a means to creating the tools to help people live healthier lives, complete their work more successfully, and serve their clients better. She is passionate about reinforcing the goals and visions developed early in the design process through branding, environmental graphics, and the procurement of furniture alongside impactful architecture.

Serving the SMA team as an Associate and Architect, Ali enjoys being an integral part of her projects and building relationships throughout the design, documentation, and construction phases. Her career at SMA has provided opportunities to work on a multitude of project types from K-8, higher education, wayfinding, graphics and branding, commercial, military, to historic preservation.

Ali grew up in the Big Hole Valley of southwestern Montana and learned the importance of community, hard work, and connection to the outdoors at an early age. She went to school at MSU, moved to the east coast for about a year, then returned to Montana, met her husband, and eventually moved to Helena to pursue her architectural career and start a family.
