RECENT PROJECTS

BIO

Charley is proud to be the Office Director for SMA Bozeman and a Principal of the firm. Charley has led a number of significant projects for SMA in the Bozeman area including Hyalite Hall at MSU, One 11 Lofts, The Merin, and the North Central Master Plan. Charley enjoys working on a wide variety of projects covering many different typologies including multi-family residential, mixed-use, educational, office, and master planning. Charley grew up in a wood shop, and spent many years in the field as a contractor. This experience allowed him to view projects from a unique perspective by taking into account not only design aesthetics, but also constructability.

When Charley is not in the office he enjoys spending time with his family in the great state of Montana. Skiing, hiking, running, and soccer weekends fill his time, along with home improvement projects and singing in the Bozeman Symphony Choir. Charley has served and volunteered time for numerous organizations in the Gallatin Valley, and believes supporting this strong community is essential to maintaining the high quality of life here in Montana.
